Live Daphnia are filter feeders that consumer algaes suspended in the water column, which can be very beneficial in ponds and aquariums to help clear green or microalgae water. They are also a great meal for coldwater, tropical and marine fish, especially as a treat for goldfish as it helps to clear their systems. The daphnia can stay alive in any freshwater environment for a considerable length of time or until eaten, meaning that there isn't a concern that uneaten leftovers may spoil water quality. 

Feed Daphnia alongside your regular dry foods to provide your fish with the added protein and nutrition needed for health, colour and growth. They are a great food source for juvenile fish to give them the best possible start in life and help them colour up sooner. Store daphnia in a cold place such as the fridge to prolong shelf life. Providing daphnia with plenty of green water will also keep them alive for longer and gut load them with algae, which in turn benefits the fish.
