The Galaxy Rasbora, or Celestial Pearl Danio is one of the smallest species of tropical fish available in the hobby. They are an ideal beginner fish for those with limited space and a desire to maintain a small temperate aquarium. As a shoaling species, they should be kept in groups of 6 or more specimens in a densely planted aquarium. Larger numbers will help spread any territorial aggression among the males. Though Galaxies have been in the hobby since 2007, they are still widely regarded as the king of the nano fish and are still extremely sought after.

It is worth noting that these fish are very small and should not be housed with anything other than nano fish as they will most likely be eaten.

Ideal tank mates will include other similar sized species, such as Phoenix Rasboras and Cherry Shrimp.

Food can be offered in the form of micro crumb as well as certain frozen fish foods such as copepods.
