The Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium & Cabinet Kit is a complete tropical aquarium setup combining a 90 litre glass aquarium with Bluetooth-controlled LED lighting, Fluval filtration, heating and a matching cabinet.
At just 60cm wide, the Roma 90 is compact enough for smaller rooms while still providing considerably more swimming space than a typical desktop aquarium. Its clean lines and concealed aquarium equipment make it an attractive choice for anyone looking for a complete tropical setup without having to select all the main components individually.
Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium with Bluetooth LED Lighting
The Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium features integrated LED lighting designed to enhance fish colours while providing a bright daylight spectrum suitable for general aquarium use and straightforward live plants.
Lighting can be controlled from a compatible smartphone or tablet using the FluvalConnect app.
This allows you to adjust the lighting without separate timers or controllers, including creating a gradual daily lighting cycle.
The aquarium also has space for an additional compatible Fluval LED should you decide to increase the lighting in the future.
Fluval Roma 90L with U2 Internal Filter
Filtration is provided by the Fluval U2 internal filter, a proven multi-stage aquarium filter designed for easy maintenance.
The filter combines mechanical, biological and chemical filtration to remove suspended debris while supporting the beneficial bacteria responsible for processing fish waste.
With a pump output of approximately 400 litres per hour, the U2 provides plenty of circulation for a 90 litre tropical community aquarium.
Filter media is included, so there’s no need to purchase a separate filtration system before getting started.
Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium with Heater
A Fluval M Series heater is also supplied as standard, providing the heating required for tropical freshwater fish.
The M Series uses a reflective borosilicate glass tube that helps it blend into the aquarium rather than standing out against the aquascape.
An LCD thermometer is also included, making it easy to keep an eye on the aquarium temperature.
90 Litre Tropical Aquarium
With dimensions of approximately 60 × 35 × 50cm, the Roma 90 provides a useful combination of swimming space and height without taking up a large amount of floor space.
Its 90 litre capacity makes it suitable for creating a small tropical community with an appropriate selection of fish.
Add a suitable substrate, plants, wood or rockwork and the aquarium can be turned into anything from a colourful community tank to a naturally styled planted display.
As with any aquarium, stocking should always be based on the adult size, behaviour and requirements of the fish rather than simply the number that will physically fit inside.
Fluval Roma 90L Matching Cabinet
This Shirley Aquatics package includes the matching Fluval Roma cabinet, creating a complete furniture-style aquarium rather than simply supplying the tank.
The cabinet follows the footprint of the aquarium for a neat, flush appearance and provides useful enclosed storage beneath the tank.
An internal shelf provides space for food, water treatments and maintenance equipment, while rear openings allow electrical cables and other equipment to be routed neatly out of sight.
Soft-close doors help prevent the cabinet being slammed shut, reducing unnecessary vibration around the aquarium.
Fluval Roma 90L for Beginners
The Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium & Cabinet Kit makes an excellent first serious tropical aquarium.
Unlike a bare aquarium, the important equipment has already been selected to work together. You have filtration, heating, lighting and a thermometer included, leaving you to choose the substrate, decoration and livestock.
The 90 litre capacity is also much more forgiving than a tiny aquarium. A larger volume of water generally provides greater stability while offering a far better choice of suitable fish.
Remember that every new aquarium must be properly prepared and cycled before livestock is introduced.

Why We Like the Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium
The Fluval Roma 90L Aquarium has been around in various forms for years, and there’s a good reason the Roma range remains popular.
It’s straightforward.
Rather than being designed for a highly specialised style of fishkeeping, the Roma gives you a well-equipped everyday aquarium that’s particularly suited to a tropical community.
The 60cm width also makes the Roma 90 useful where a larger 80–120cm aquarium simply won’t fit, while the 90 litre capacity still gives you enough water volume to create a proper display.
Having the matching cabinet included in this package makes it particularly good value as a complete aquarium setup.
