biOrb Maintenance Kit
The biOrb maintenance kit includes two service kits including water treatment sachets, 4 cleaning pads, airstone, water optimiser and polish and cloth. Everything you will need for the recommended 4 to 6 week cleaning of your biOrb aquarium to keep your aquarium clean and clear and your fish happy!
The biOrb service kit includes a filter cartridge that works like a waste bin, trapping dirt, once full it should be thrown away and replaced with a new one. This should be done every 1-2 months depending on the size of the aquarium and the number of fish kept. A natural substrate in the cartridge polishes the water and removes impurities helping to keep the water clear between changes it has an active life of 8 weeks. Just twist the old cartridge out and fit the new one. The Service Kit eliminates the need to cut filter foam, deal with messy carbon and measure out doses of water treatment - simple.
The cleaning pads are lint free and designed for use on acrylic aquariums to help you remove any algae or dirt on the inside of your biOrb. The water treatment sachets should be used when you change your cartridge as it is recommended that you to a water change of about 1/3 of the water at the same time. They remove chlorine from tap water and add beneficial bacteria to your new service kit. The water optimiser also improves the biological filtration in your aquarium and removes impurities in the water to help your fish stay healthy, it's recommended that you add a dose to your aquarium every week to keep your water clear and don't worry you can't overdose your aquarium with it.
