The Bicolour Angelfish is a very hardy fish native to the Indian Ocean with a striking appearance. It is a fairly passive species that is very easy to keep, making them an excellent choice for a beginner. When first introduced to the aquarium, this angel may be very shy, but it will come out of its shell soon enough and make full use of the aquarium. Offer plenty of rockwork for the fish to explore and offer plenty of grazing opportunities.
Sadly, like many angelfish, they are not considered reef safe as they’re likely to nip at stony corals, soft corals and clam mantles. They should not be kept with any other angels, including their own kind. Tank mates should be chosen carefully ana boisterous, aggressive species should be avoided as this angel is very easily intimidated.
Food should be offered in the form of mysis, brine shrimp and chopped shrimp as well as plenty of green flake or nori.
