Description

Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium Set

The Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium Set is a striking alternative to a conventional rectangular fish tank. Its tall, oval acrylic design creates an impressive display while using surprisingly little floor space, making it particularly useful where you want a substantial-looking aquarium without a wide footprint.

With a capacity of 90 litres and an overall size of 53.5cm long × 35cm wide × 151.5cm high, the Avon combines the aquarium and matching cabinet into one sleek, freestanding design.

Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium Set – A Different Kind of Display

The curved acrylic construction is the feature that immediately sets the Avon apart. Rather than looking like a traditional aquarium sitting on a cabinet, the tall oval shape creates a much more integrated piece of furniture.

Acrylic also gives the aquarium beautifully clear viewing panels while allowing the distinctive curved profile that makes the Avon such an unusual display tank.

At only 53.5 × 35cm, its footprint is relatively compact, so it can work particularly well in living rooms, reception areas, offices and other spaces where a conventional wide aquarium may be difficult to accommodate.

Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium with Integrated Filtration

Filtration is neatly incorporated into the hood, helping preserve the clean appearance of the aquarium.

A powerhead draws aquarium water through a series of filter media housed above the tank, including sponge and polishing media. The filtered water is then returned to the aquarium through a spray bar.

Keeping the filtration equipment within the hood also means there is no large conventional internal filter taking up valuable swimming space inside the aquarium.

Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium LED Lighting

Integrated LED lighting illuminates the aquarium from above and is supplied with a remote control, allowing the lighting to become part of the overall display rather than requiring a separate light unit.

The combination of the tall aquarium, curved viewing panel and overhead illumination can create a particularly dramatic effect when the aquarium is planted and decorated vertically.

Matching Cabinet Included

The aquarium is supplied as a complete set with its matching cabinet. The cabinet has an open design without doors, continuing the simple contemporary appearance of the aquarium.

The Avon is available in black or white, making it easy to choose a finish that suits the surrounding room. Shirley Aquatics also lists custom sizes as available on request.

Why Choose the Avon Oval Acrylic Aquarium Set?

The Avon is particularly appealing if you’re looking for something more unusual than a standard rectangular aquarium. Its narrow footprint makes clever use of space, while its height gives it far more visual presence than you might expect from a 90-litre tank.

The filtration and lighting are already incorporated into the design, too, so there’s less equipment distracting from the aquarium itself.

For a hallway, living room, office or reception area where the aquarium is intended to become part of the room rather than simply sit against a wall, the Avon makes a distinctive choice.
