5W Compact UV Bulb PL Helps Keep Pond Water Clear

A pond UV clarifier works by passing water close to a UV-C lamp. The ultraviolet light helps control the tiny free-floating algae cells responsible for turning pond water green, allowing the filtration system to remove them more effectively.

For best results, the UV lamp should be replaced regularly. Although an older bulb may still appear to be illuminated, its effective UV-C output gradually reduces with use.

We recommend replacing your UV bulb approximately once every 12 months, ideally before the main spring and summer pond season when stronger sunlight and warmer conditions can encourage algae growth.

Compatibility

This 5W Compact UV Bulb is designed for use with compatible pond UV clarifiers and may fit units produced by manufacturers including Hozelock, Oase, Fish Mate and SuperFish.

Always check the wattage, lamp length and fitting of your existing bulb before ordering. The wattage alone does not necessarily guarantee compatibility with a particular UV unit.
