20cm Ceramic Air Disc

A ceramic air diffuser 20cm diameter. This air disk is designed for use with larger, more powerful air pumps for a more considerable column of bubbles for better aesthetics, as well as aeration and surface agitation.

Providing your pond with aeration can have many benefits, particularly in the summer when higher water temperatures will significantly lower oxygen levels in the water column. Fish can struggle when the oxygen levels are too low and in extreme cases, even die. In some cases, fish will even jump out of the water as a result of low dissolved oxygen levels. Additional surface agitation will not only facilitate the exchange of gases to remedy this problem, but can also be utilised in areas where water surface movement is low to discourage mosquitoes laying eggs in the water.
