Cleair Sargasso 2.0 Classic 820 Aquarium, Sump and Cabinet

The Cleair Sargasso 2.0 Classic 820 is the largest model in the 50cm-deep Sargasso Classic range, combining an impressive 200cm-wide display with a relatively slim footprint. With 820 litres of total system volume, premium Opti-white glass, sump filtration and a factory-built matching cabinet, it makes a serious centrepiece for larger tropical, coldwater or marine aquariums.

The system comprises approximately 670 litres in the main display aquarium and a substantial 150-litre multi-chamber sump concealed within the cabinet. At 200cm wide but only 50cm deep, the Classic 820 delivers exceptional swimming length without projecting as far into the room as the equivalent Sargasso Deep model.

A circulation pump, digital titanium heater, LED lighting, light timers, sump, pipework and cabinet-mounted socket extension are all included as standard.

820L Aquarium and Cabinet

The 820L Aquarium and Cabinet measures 200cm wide × 50cm deep, with an impressive 90cm-high aquarium and an overall system height of approximately 167.5cm.

Its two-metre frontage makes this an excellent choice for larger fish requiring generous horizontal swimming space, while the relatively restrained 50cm depth helps make such a substantial aquarium easier to accommodate within the room.

High-clarity Opti-white glass provides excellent viewing, while the black aquarium background creates a clean backdrop that helps fish, plants and aquascaping stand out.

670-litre Opti-white display aquarium

The main aquarium provides approximately 670 litres of display volume.

Drain and return pipework are housed within a discreet right-hand corner weir, leaving the centre of the aquarium unobstructed and providing greater freedom when planning rockwork, wood and other décor.

Combined with the two-metre length, this creates an expansive uninterrupted display with plenty of scope for ambitious aquascaping.

Classic 820 or Deep 1010?

The Classic 820 and Deep 1010 are both 200cm wide, but the difference in depth gives the two aquariums distinctly different proportions.

The Classic 820 measures 200 × 50cm, giving you the full two-metre frontage while minimising how far the aquarium projects into the room.

The Deep 1010 increases the depth to 60cm, providing greater front-to-back aquascaping space and additional water volume.

If you have the room for a two-metre aquarium but would prefer a slimmer footprint, the Classic 820 provides an excellent alternative to the larger Deep model.

150-litre multi-chamber sump

A substantial 150-litre multi-chamber sump provides generous filtration capacity beneath the aquarium.

The sump and associated pipework are supplied as part of the system, providing dedicated space for filtration media and equipment while keeping the main aquarium free from unnecessary clutter.

Together, the 670-litre display and 150-litre sump provide approximately 820 litres of total system volume.

The socket extension is mounted conveniently inside the cabinet, helping keep plugs and cables organised rather than leaving you to install a separate extension yourself.

The supplied LED lighting offers variable colour outputs with low running costs. Additional specialist lighting will be required for reef aquariums and heavily planted aquascapes.

Factory-built cabinet with no MDF

The matching Sargasso cabinet arrives factory assembled rather than flat packed.

Unlike many conventional aquarium cabinets, MDF isn’t used for its structural construction. Instead, a combination of solid wood, metal and treated laminated wood provides a strong structure designed to cope with the demanding environment surrounding a large aquarium.

The exterior finish coordinates with the aquarium canopy to give the complete installation a smart, furniture-style appearance.

Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums

With its two-metre swimming length, large water volume and sump filtration, the Classic 820 provides an extremely versatile platform for larger aquarium projects.

It is suitable for coldwater, tropical and marine fish, while reef and heavily planted systems can also be created with the addition of appropriate specialist lighting.

Subject to suitable site access, we’ll deliver the aquarium to your chosen location, position it, assemble the pipework and equipment, answer any questions and demonstrate how your new aquarium works.

Each Cleair Sargasso 2.0 Classic 820L Aquarium, Sump and Cabinet is available in black, white or red. We have a wide range of sizes available either in store or to order! As standard these tanks are available with widths ranging from 50cm to 60cm and lengths ranging from 120cm to 200cm. We also have “special” sizes available as well as custom sizes, just get in touch if you’d like to know more!

Standard pallet deliveries are dropped on the driveway by the courier. If this isn’t suitable, we do offer our own in house delivery service and even set up. Contact us to find out more!
