ProRep infrared heat projectors emit virtually no visible light but instead convert energy as heat in the form of near-wave and mid-wave infrared to heat reptiles in their enclosures. As they emit short wave infrared this allows the energy to penetrate deep into the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous skin layers of the reptile which modulates the biological activity deep within the tissues, cells, and mitochondria of the animal increasing activity, neural response and cellular repair.
