The Auriga Butterfly is a large striking fish that's ideally suited to large fish only systems with plenty of live rock for the fish to utilise for browsing and hiding. They are best kept singly as they don't particularly appreciate the company of their own kind. Tank mates should be of similar size and temperament.
The Auriga is very similar in appearance to the Vagabond, but the vertical black bar at the rear of the body that's present in vagabonds is absent, except for one large false eye on the dorsal fin. This fish is not suitable for Reef Aquaria as it is largely carnivorous and feeds on all kinds of corals and small invertebrates. As with all Butterflies, this fish demands pristine water and a generous amount of oxygen.
