Aquadip Frozen Small Bloodworm
Fresh and Frozen Bloodworm is by far the most popular and commonly bought frozen fish food used by freshwater aquarists. It is a nutritious supplement to regular feeding and a treat that the fish really enjoy. More people choose frozen food as it keeps longer and is more hygienic food for the fish.
High in protein, it helps to bring fish into breeding condition and fully colour up. Frozen small bloodworm or blood worm are readily accepted as a natural prey item by nearly all fish and are suitable for both freshwater and marine fish. Bloodworm (also commonly referred to as midge larvae) are harvested from freshwater lakes and are often used by fish breeders as a component of maturation diets. Some fish and Amphibians will not eat dry foods and bloodworm makes a great food as it is easily visible and looks like familiar prey.
These bloodworms are gamma irradiated to ensure that no parasites or pathogens are present in the packs of fish food. As a result it is not only perfectly safe for the fish, but also completely hygienic to store in your freezer. Being frozen, they are not only more hygienic, but also carry a longer shelf life when stored in the freezer. The frozen slab reduces waste from packaging and is easy to use. Simply break off the amount you need and defrost before feeding the fish.
