Canister Filters are an excellent way to maintain superior water quality. The equipment is hidden, instead of becoming a huge eyesore in the aquarium and they can be customised easily to suit individual needs. The canisters allow for more biological media than the sponge based internal and HOB filters. Additional chemical filtration such as carbon and zeolite can be added to further improve water quality.
