This is a bulb with medium to high UV output designed for tropical terrariums. Ideal for all tropical and sub tropical reptiles that prefer shady environments like rainforests and other tropical locations where weather conditions reduce UV rays substantially. Optimal levels of UVB Effective up to 40cm Provides necessary UVB rays for optimal calcium metabolism. UVA rays stimulate appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour. Combine with Natural Light or Reptile Vision for optimal visual light output.

The advantage of the Exo Terra Repti Glo Compact Fluorescent bulb is its size and the fact that it is self-ballasted. It comes with a screw fitting and due to its spiral design, can be be mounted horizontally as well as vertically without it leading to performance or efficiency issues.

This UV bulb will not provide sufficient heat alone and an additional basking lamp should always be provided to keep your reptiles in optimum condition and full health.
